PA requires that prospective insurance
producers complete 24 hours of pre-licensing
instruction before taking the examination.
PHILLIPS ASSOCIATES offers a three-day classroom
environment using materials developed by George
Krauss, CLU, CPCU, the Dean of Pre-Licensing in
Pennsylvania. It is an intensely invigorating
highly interactive course designed to help you
understand the relationships between concepts of
insurance. This is important in that it may prepare
you to see meanings behind difficult wording on some
test questions.
Some of the pre-licensing faculty include Vince Phillips,
Bob Creason CIC, Gigi Nester, Jack Hughes, AAI, Marianne
Milianta CPCY, ARM, CIC, CPIW, Robert Cardamone, Ross
Schriftman, LUTCF, RHU, George Krauss CLU, CPCU, Bill
Schneider, CPCU, ARM. Between them, they have almost 200
years worth of industry experience.
Cost...
Cost of classroom instruction for Pre-Licensing
is $350.00 inclusive or
$119.00 for the Krauss
book and software alone. In the event of a course
cancellation, the book cost can not be refunded.
If your schedule
does not permit you to take a Pre-licensing
class, another self-study option is the
Internet. Please

Please Note...
PHILLIPS ASSOCIATES believes that
classroom instruction is most effective
in preparing a person for exam because
of teacher-student interaction and the
benefits that come from class discussion.

If someone already has an insurance
power and wishes to add one, he or she does
not need to complete the three-day training
required for new licensees. What many do are
to attend the day most relevant to their new
power or simply to purchase the book as a
self-study guide.

 |
There are some PHILLIPS
ASSOCIATES courses
that double as helpers in your gaining that
extra power. An example is the four-credit Life
Insurance Refresher or the Annuity Basics course.
These are not a substitute for pre-licensing instruction.

 |
If a person takes PHILLIPS
ASSOCIATES Pre-Licensing
instruction and does not pass the exam, he or she
may sit in on another course at no additional cost.
|
 |
If an agency or company needs to have several
people licensed, in-agency or in-company Pre-Licensing
instruction can be arranged.
